Advantages
1.High continuous production speed, much faster than flat screen printing, suitable for mass textile production.
2.Low unit cost for long bulk runs; cost per meter drops greatly with large quantity.
3.Excellent ink opacity and colour saturation, good for solid blocks and dark base fabrics.
4.Supports various special printing effects: metallic, pearlescent, glitter, puff, burnout and adhesive paste.
5.Stable repeating pattern, seamless repeat for home textiles, upholstery and apparel fabrics.
6.Wide adaptability for cotton, polyester, blended fabrics and many textile substrates.
Limitations
1.High setup cost. One engraved cylinder screen is required per colour, not economical for short runs or small batches.
2.Limited to spot colour printing; hard to achieve smooth gradients, photographic and ultra-fine delicate details.
3.More water, chemical and energy consumption than digital textile printing.
4.Risk of registration shift at high running speed; colour count on machine is limited.
5.Sample and bulk production may have visual difference; pattern repeats are fixed by cylinder size.
6.Cannot print cut-and-sewn ready garments directly; only for continuous fabric rolls.
